PSN Weekly: Week of May 14 (North America)

This week PSN has a few gems available. Let’s start off with Knytt Underground as it will be free this week for PS Plus members. The game is available as a Cross Buy for both the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita. Rune Factory: Tides of Destiny is coming to PSN this week. The game features Aden and Sonja who live a tranquil life on Fenith Island. That is, until they are struck by a mysterious curse. Their souls are trapped in the same body and the Fenith Island they knew is gone. Their home has been replaced by a strange version of itself that is populated with unfamiliar faces, and the only way they can save their beloved island is to explore the world and solve the mystery of their curse.

Jacob Jones and the Bigfoot Mystery is a PSN exclusive game for the PlayStation Vita. It is a puzzle game in which Jacob prefers the great outdoors rather than his parents or even other kids. He is none too happy at the thought of spending the summer with loads of weird kids at Summer Camp, but his summer might turn out better than he thought. Jacob learns of the mysterious Bigfoot and he begins his adventure, which is brimming with weird and wonderful characters, as he takes on a host of brain-teasing puzzles.

Dust 514, the PSN exclusive game, is a free to play first-person shooter. The game is an action MMO for the PlayStation 3 and has a mix of first-person shooting and real time strategy. You play the game as a marine running around on the ground with your rifle.

Manhunt is the violent action game from Rockstar. The game features the story of James Earl Cash who, thought to be dead, wakes up in a town filled with murderous gangs. A man named “The Director” whispers to him and offers guidance through his earpiece to help Cash survive the night. As you play this game you will make strategic choices about which weapons to use, and even everyday items may be the key to your very survival. Have you ever looked at a common plastic bag and thought “I could strangle someone with that?” In Manhunt you just may get your chance! Escape the nightmare and maybe, just maybe, you will learn the identity of the mysterious Director.
