Sword #1: Masamune from the Chrono series

Top 10 Swords

The “legendary sword of antiquity,” the Masamune is a sword used in Chrono Trigger by Frog (or HANK if you follow this guy’s instructions). However, it is split into multiple parts. One part is in Frog’s Burrow while the other part is protected by the brothers Masa and Mune. The sword eventually became corrupted during the Fall of Guardia and became a blade of pure evil in Chrono Cross, causing all that come into contact with it to go mad.

Sword #2: Ragnell from the Fire Emblem series

Fire Emblem RagnellOne of two legendary swords from the Tellius games, Ragnell and its sister blade Alondite were the swords of the beorc hero Altina. The two swords were blessed by the goddess Ashera in the fight with the goddess Yune. Both swords are unbreakable and are national treasures to the Begnion Empire.

In Path of Radiance, Ragnell was revealed to have been used by Gawain – later known as Greil – before he accidentally killed his wife when he went crazy touching Lehran’s medallion. The sword would eventually find its way to his son, Ike, and he would use it to take down Mad King Ashanrd and save the Kingdom of Crimea. The sword was returned to Begnion but would reappear in Radiant Dawn. It would also receive a new blessing from Yune as Ike used the sword to defeat the Black Knight Zelgius, the Dragon King Dheginsea, the medallion’s creator Lehran, and, in a bit of irony, the goddess Ashera.

Now, I’m sure most of you, knowing this site, could’ve guessed what our top two swords are. And yes, it is the Master Sword and the Monado. There’s no point in hiding that.

These two were easily at the top of voting for every round, bypassing the final elimination rounds and skipping straight to the tournament rounds after the preliminary votes. The two of them easily beat the rest of the competition to advance to the final, resulting in an epic battle between these titans.
