GameStop’s Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate page recently updated with a nice little surprise. Anyone who pre-orders the game there will receive a free code for a digital download of the official strategy guide, translated and localized by BradyGames. Anybody who wants to start the hunt with massive amounts of guides and tips without having to surf through the Wikia pages can do so after a quick pre-order from the nearest Gamestop or EB Games.
Corporate Officer and Senior Vice-President Christian Svensson has confirmed in the past that the guide is based on the Japanese one. The translated guide is 250 pages in length, and Mr. Svensson claims it to be the size of a brick.
Unfortunately, however, the strategy guide will not contain all the content present in the Japanese version. Svensson, like always, sticks up for BradyGames and claims it was a “huge undertaking” for them. Though it is disappointing, a lot of hard work was still put into making the guide, and there is a lot quality writing and helpful tips.
On the bright side, it’s free when you pre-order.
Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate will be available in stores March 19, 2013 in the US and March 22, 2013 in EU. The demo for Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate is also available on the Nintendo eShop for both the Nintendo 3DS and Nintendo Wii U.
