Thanksgiving weekend is over. Many of us are just now returning home after spending some time with our families and preparing to spend some more time with our new loved one: our Wii Us. So for this week’s Retro Wrap-Up, the Operation Rainfall Retro Commercial Research Team (in other words, me) decided to look back on the launch commercials of Nintendo’s previous systems. This is totally not because this week was rather slow because of Thanksgiving. What are you talking about?

Yeah, I know that last one isn’t technically retro, but I decided to put it in here anyway because of reasons. Here are the highlights from this past week.

The Last Story has become XSEED’s most successful title. Hot damn!

New characters have been revealed for Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure: All-Star Battle.

I reviewed Saturday Morning RPG Episodes 1-3 and Charlotte Buckingham reviews Okamiden in this week’s Game of the Past review.

Trine 2 on the Wii U will be getting an update that will allow you to use voice chat in the game.

Square shows off some of the customization features in Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII.

We recorded the third episode of the Downpour Podcast. I know, I can’t believe it either!

Justin Graham reviews the Fire Emblem OVA in this week’s Anime of the Past.

Finally, a collector’s edition of Hyrule Historia appeared on Amazon.

He has followed the Operation Rainfall movement on Facebook since it started and was happy to volunteer for the website. Just don't mention Earthbound or the Mother franchise around him.
