Released at the end of October, both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 versions of the Zone of the Enders HD Collection are now on sale, with its original price tag of $39.99 being slashed to $24.99. Consensus on the HD Collection have been met with mix results; in my opinion the Limited Edition was well worth it for the art book alone, even with it being paperback and not hardcover. While the games suffer some porting bugs and glitches, and the 2nd game not running at constant 60 fps as it should be, the games are still fully playable and fun as hell.

Another thing to note is that the second game is not just the original game, but the updated Special Edition that was only released in Japan and PAL regions; never localized for North America. Now with its price cut, I think fans of the original games and especially gamers who never got the chance to play the sequel or either game have something to check out as these are some of the best action games with mechs around. You also get the Metal Gear Rising: Revengeance demo packaged in, so you can get an early sneak peak before it’s officially released in the West next month.
