What with the recent comic book crossover of Sonic the Hedgehog and Mega Man, we thought it would be the perfect opportunity to make another ‘Character Battle’ article featuring the blue heroes and their companions.

As with the previous ‘Character Battle’, we will pit two characters, that share some similar traits, against each other and ask YOU, our readers, to vote on who should be the victor. After a week, we will close the voting and then present to you who the winners of each round are; and if the last ‘Character Battle’ is anything to go by, we suspect there will be some surprising outcomes.

So without further ado, let the battles commence!

BATTLE 1: The Blue Heroes

sonicvsmegaman character battle

Sonic and Megaman have a lot in common. For starters they’re both blue and have their names in the title of every game they star in. They also like fighting… erm… bad guys… Okay, so maybe that’s where the similarities end but lets focus on some of their characteristics to see who you think should be the ultimate victor.

Sonic’s pseudonym is ‘the blue blur’, because he’s fast, like really fast. He’s able to move at speeds that even Felix Baumgartner would be jealous of , and when he collects enough chaos emeralds he turns into a flamboyant gold colour and becomes even faster. During his spare time he likes to exercise by jumping on springs and takes comfort in a bit of retail therapy by shopping for the latest high tech trainers.

Megaman also has a pseudonym, ‘the blue bomber’, because he likes to ‘bomb’ things. Well, technically he’s more of a fan of shooting enemy robots with his arm cannon, but he is able to acquire various other weapons throughout his adventures. One of those weapons being the ever-intimidating sounding ‘Bubble Bomb’… which shoots bubbles…. Anyway, when he’s not saving the world from impending doom, Megaman likes to spend quality time polishing his arm cannon and wondering what ever happened to Mega Man Legends 3.

So, who will win out of the speedy hedgehog and the shooting loving robot? You decide!

Sorry, there are no polls available at the moment.

David Rawlings
David Rawlings, or ‘Rawky’ as we like to call him, joined the Operation Rainfall Campaign at the beginning. He’s British and found solace with us as he was able to understand our pain about Nintendo and their localizing faux pas. He’s a big fan of the letter ‘U’ and refuses to remove them from words, even though we constantly ask him to. He also believes it’s about time Princess Daisy got kidnapped.
