The Monster Hunter film is set to debut in North American theaters on December 25th. In China, it will launch earlier than that, on December 4th. Below is a quick summary of the story in the film.

According to the press release, it’s just another day for a group of soldiers, when an unexpected storm whips up the desert sands. The group quickly realizes things aren’t what they seem, when they find themselves somehow transported to another dimension. The group is Captain Artemis (Milla Jovovich) and her unit made up of TI Harris, Meagan Good, and Diego Boneta. It doesn’t take long for the terrible reality of their predicament to become known to them. The enormous and terrifying inhabitants in the world of Monster Hunter soon reveal themselves. Now face-to-face with these massive creatures, Captain Artemis and her unit quickly find that their weapons can’t cut it against such behemoths. In their desparate battle simply to survive, they will cross paths with the mysterious Hunter (Tony Jaa), who possesses unique and very helpful skills. Hunter and Captain Artemis build trust bit by bit, as she discovers he belongs to a group led by the Admiral (Ron Perlman). Together, Captain Artemis and her new ally must face a threat that may even put their own world in peril of anihilation.

Michael is a veteran gamer in his late 30s, who grew up around video games, with fond memories of the oldies like the NES, SNES, and N64 among others. He loves Nintendo, but also plays a lot of games on his PC. Michael also enjoys going for walks/bike rides, loves animals, and enjoys thunderstorms (and science in general). I love Nintendo but I also play a lot of game's on PC, many of which are on steam. My favorite Nintendo game's include Zelda, Metroid, and Smash Bros to name a few. On PC I love the Half-Life games, as well as most all of the Source Engine games just to name a few.
