No folks it’s not April Fool, and I didn’t wake up from a fever dream. UPPERS has a release date on Steam. A lot of us had given up hope on this seeing an actual release, but XSEED Games has come through and the game will release on Steam on October 21, 2020.

For those not in the know UPPERS is a top down beat em up from Senran Kagura creator Kenichiro Takaki. The game released on the PlayStation Vita way back in 2016. The new Steam version will offer updated graphics and a bonus character, Daidoji-senpai of the Senran Kagura  series.

The base game will be available for $29.99, €29.99, and £24.99, while a Digital Deluxe Edition including a soundtrack with 46 tracks and a digital version of the art book highlighting the character designs by acclaimed designer Hiroaki Hashimoto will be available for $39.99, €39.99, and £34.99. There will be a launch discount of 15% for one week.

Here is more about the game from the Steam Page:

Steve Baltimore
Steve started with oprainfall not long after the campaign moved from the IGN forums to Facebook. Ever since, he has been fighting to give all non-mainstream RPGs a fair voice. As the site admin, he will continue to do this and even show there is value in what some would deem "pure ecchi." He loves niche games and anime more than anything... well, except maybe Neptune.
