Xenoblade Chronicles 2 | Hibana

The gift that keeps on giving, Xenoblade Chronicles 2, is gearing up for another update on July 27th. Owners of the Expansion Pass will be pleased to find a lot of new content with patch 1.5.1.

First up, we have a new Rare Blade named Hibana (granted, Nintendo of America nor Nintendo of Europe have commented at the time of this posting if this will be the official English name or not). Hibana is a fire-type, bit ball wielding healer who is available to Expansion Pass owners after completing a quest. The character was designed  by Atto.

Speaking of quests, five new ones will be available. In order to do some of them, certain Rare Blades are required.

The Land of Challenge continues to grow with more costumes and items to increase Tora’s Idea attribute. Also, if you were able to whisk Shulk and Fiora away into Alrest, you now have the option to play “You Will Know Our Names” during fights with Unique Monsters. Make sure the two are in your party though!

Lastly, new difficulty options have been added to make the game more challenging.

Xenoblade Chronicles 2 is available now for the Nintendo Switch. The story expansion, Xenoblade Chronicles 2: Torna ~ The Golden Country, arrives in September.
