To coincide with the 25th anniversary of the classic manga and anime Yu Yu Hakusho, developers KLAB have announced their development of a brand new mobile game based on the franchise titled Yu Yu Hakusho: 100% Maji Battle at TGS 2017 recently. The game will be RPG based with battles utilizing teams of five vs five, while the presentation will be sprite based. Additionally, KLAB has confirmed recently that the original Japanese voice cast will be reprising their roles for the game too, featuring Nozomu Sasaki as Yusuke Urameshi, Shigeru Chiba as Kazuma Kuwabara, Megumi Ogata as Kurama, and Nobuyuki Hiyama as Hiei as the four protagonists; the rest of the cast should be following suit as well. The game will allow players to not only play as the protagonists, but also villains such as Elder Toguro, Younger Toguro and Shinbou Sensui with their own custom teams.

KLAB is known for creating mobile games based on other manga and anime franchises such as Love Live! School Idol Festival, and Bleach: Brave Souls. Their games usually follow the standard gacha game format where you summon characters based almost on a gambling-like system, and Yu Yu Hakusho: 100% Maji Battle will be following a similar format. The game is free to play, though you can purchase in-game items to summon characters with. AXEL Game Studio will also be co-developing the game alongside KLAB.

Yu Yu Hakusho: 100% Maji Battle‘s release date has not been confirmed yet, along with an English release.
