Yes, I know. This is a day late, for which I apologize. Without going into details, I had some health concerns I had to resolve yesterday. But luckily gaming never gets old, so let’s recap today the information from yesterday’s regularly scheduled Nintendo Download.

Nintendo Download | NBA Playgrounds

Okay, normally I wouldn’t bother covering a sports related game, but I’m too flabbergasted by the existence of this not to say something. Next week, May 9th, NBA Playgrounds is coming to the Nintendo Switch. Because every Switch fan loves to play some B Ball, right? Right? Moving on, there is a fantastic retro game coming to the Wii U Virtual Console. The beloved TurboGrafx-16 prehistoric platformer, Bonk’s Revenge! If you’ve never beaten a dinosaur into submission using only the power of your thick skull, you don’t know what you’re missing. I highly recommend it for all my retro fans out there.

On the sales front, there are actually some great games available this week. Plus the link sales page actually worked this time, which was a delightful bonus. Here are the more noteworthy sales – Bit Dungeon+ is discounted from $6 to $3 on Wii U; Gurumin 3D: A Monstrous Adventure is discounted from $14.99 to $9.99 on 3DS; Mutant Mudds Super Challenge is sharply discounted from $9.99 to $2.49 for both Wii U and 3DS; Xeodrifter is discounted from $9.99 to $2.49 for 3DS (great for you Metroid fans out there) and Mutant Mudds Deluxe is discounted from $9.99 to $2.49. Those are some great titles, especially if you’re a fan of Jools Watsham and Atooi. If you want to see what else is on sale, just click here.

Nintendo Download | Street Fighter My Nintendo

If you enjoy Street Fighter and make use of My Nintendo, there are some fun bargains. You can use your coins to get 40% off the following games – Super Street Fighter IV 3D Edition; Super Street Fighter II: The New Challengers and Street Fighter Alpha 2. You can also pick up a pretty nifty wallpaper for Ultra Street II: The Final Challengers. Honestly the best stuff My Nintendo has had available of late has been sweet wallpapers, so if you already own all those discounted Street Fighter games, look into picking this one up for your PC or mobile device.

Pretty sexy, if I say so myself.

Last but not least, there are a couple of new games you might want to check out. Shockingly, none of them is for the Nintendo Switch, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t worth a look. The first is called WinKings, which is a 2D party game with Viking themed style. It looks like a fun little jaunt for Wii U owners. The other sale is for Citadale – The Legends Trilogy. I had covered this one in a previous Download, and while I’ve since learned it’s a pretty shameless Castlevania clone, I was surprised to hear it had more than one game. If you like Castlevania and wanted a cheap and easy fix for vampire slashing, then maybe check it out.

That’s it for this weeks’ Nintendo Download. Once again I apologize for the delay, and promise to do my best to keep this segment on schedule for future installments. Thanks for checking it out and let us know what Nintendo games you are gonna pick up!
