devils third sold ou

After reports that GameStop retail stores in North America only received 420 copies of the Wii U exclusive Devil’s Third – after preorder copies – game collectors and resellers have emerged on eBay and Amazon offering the game for $100+. Amazon has also sold out of their ‘new’ stock and offer only 3rd party copies.

Devils third prices

The extremely high asking price of the game will be sure to make it hard for any fans who did not preorder. It’s good to mention that there is no official word from Nintendo that Devil’s Third is sold out, but with the lack of the companies acknowledgment of the game’s existence that word might never come.

Devil’s Third was release on Decemeber 11 for the Wii U. Did you pick up Devil’s Third? Let us know in the comments below.

Thanks @opzero

  • Obviously, Nin had some obligation to release it USA, but deliberately made this release as tiny as possible so most people wouldn’t know that Nintendo is associated with this horrible game. And make no mistake – it is Bad.

Bad games get releases all the time. I was lucky enough to find a copy of this game and it’s not thaaat bad haha although it’s also probably not worth 60 dollars let alone 150 :/

    • DariusQ

Bad, like taste in anything, is entirely relative. There are plenty of worse games out there which got far more attention and notoriety.

It’s interesting to note that in Europe there are still plenty of physicals to go rounf for people who want them – the Amazon UK price is quite reasonable compared to this. It’s a shame, but only goes to highlight NoA’s contempt for Wii U collectors by not giving this game the standard retail release it deserves, alongisde the digital only releases of Project Zero 5 and Art Academy: Sketchpad.

    • azariosays

Yea, I agree. I’m in the camp of hoping that more copies are shipped and this price goes down. This game won’t stand a chance if people don’t even know it’s a thing lol

And don’t even get me started on how they gave this a physical release and fatal frame in the west. Importing a console might be in my best interest.

    • Joey

Mm yeah definitely, I passed on the retail release of PZ5 here in Europe and I’m starting to regret it – at least I can still pick up the LE for semi-reasonable money should I choose to. And in terms of importing a console? Bamco are releasing vanother Taiko game for Wii U if that’s your thing, and there’s still Geni Ibun Roku #FE in all it’s potentially uncensored glory.

Call me nit-picky, but grammar is very important. The quality of articles has been slumping lately.

“It’s good to mention that their is no official word from Nintendo that Devil’s Third is sold out, but with the lack of the companies acknowledgment of the games existence that word might never come.

That “their” should be “there” as you aren’t referring to possession or ownership or anything, and that “games” should be “game’s” because you’re not referring to games in the plural sense.

Thanks for being that guy 🙂

And now I’m forced to point out the fact that you, yourself missed a couple. “Companies acknowledgment” should be “company’s acknowledgment,” and there should be a comma after “existence,” Mr. Editor Extraordinaire

    • I’mThatGuy

Oh, I’ll gladly eat crow, don’t worry. Haha. I’m hardly an editor extraordinaire, I was just saying that it’s been sticking out lately.

I will disagree about the comma, though. I think it can be there or not be there, depending on personal preference. I view commas more as kind of a yield sign, telling a reader when they should take a brief pause for effect or what have you.

I’m sure we could spend all day picking apart articles and sentences and the insane nuances of grammar, but really, I was just trying to give some feedback that for me, personally, things like that distract from the article itself.

  • Superr Mann

Well I hope I can get it Saturday

  • DariusQ

Glad I got my copy then.

420 copies seems exceedingly low though. I wonder what the actual production run on this game is considering that most manufacturers wouldn’t even have bothered pressing the discs for less than 1000 copies (also very low for any mainstream video game).

Just went to EB and found out that they are NOT flagged as out of print and that more copies are on the way. The clerk said that he’s never seen inventory ordered from Nintendo that didn’t end up in the store.
