The English cast for the anime, except for Makoto Naegi, is different from the original game’s cast.

A new game in the franchise titled New Danganronpa V3: Minna no Koroshiai Shin Gakki  is in production. This game will not be set in Hope’s Peak Academy and will feature a new setting and characters. The game is in development for PS4 and PS Vita and is set to release in 2016. Due to the differences in setting, the Danganronpa 3 anime will not be an adaptation of New Danganronpa V3, it will conclude the “Hope’s Peak Academy” arc started in the original game and anime.
