Kirby: Triple Deluxe - Cover Art | Retro Wrap-Up

The first time I did a Retro Wrap-Up on Nintendo’s lovable puffball, there were more than enough old commercials to feature Kirby a second time. So, the oprainfall Retro Commercial Research Team–in other words, me–will take this week to show you the TV moments that didn’t make the cut the first time around.

Don’t worry, they are just as hilariously cheesy as the first batch.

Here are the highlights from the past week.

I very much miss the zany ads from the 90s that Nintendo used to put out. Not saying they haven’t had some good ones, but stuff like the Splatoon ad are pretty much all game footage, no crazy live action stuff like they used to do. (Still love that original Smash Bros ad with the folks in costume fighting in a middle of a field to the song “So Happy Together”.) https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u589Li2o-zA
