Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 | Volleyball

Somehow I knew, when that voucher for swimsuits launched with Dead or Alive 5…there would be another volleyball game.

The hottest fighters in video games are once again donning swimsuits and hitting the sands for volleyball matches. Announced earlier this month, Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 received its first screenshots, highlighting the gorgeous island setting as well as the curvy figure of series mainstay, Kasumi. Though Kasumi is probably a shoo-in, her inclusion actually is not a guarantee; the nine characters that will launch with the game are actually being decided via a poll on the Japanese PlayStation Store. Koei Tecmo released 15 character themes on August 20 on the Japanese PlayStation Store, and the nine most-downloaded characters featured on those themes will be the roster of Dead or Alive Xtreme 3.

The game will be released in two versions: Dead or Alive Xtreme 3: Fortune will launch for PlayStation 4 and Dead or Alive Xtreme 3: Venus will release on PlayStation Vita. There are currently no plans for a Western release for either version of the game, but if demand is high enough, Koei Tecmo will localize the game. If you are interested in seeing Dead or Alive Xtreme 3 in the West, let them know! In the meantime, check out the screenshots below:
