There is an image floating around on the internet of what appears to be amiibo marketing material created by Nintendo for some new amiibo figures. Shown are 4 Animal Crossing amiibo as well as a retro 8-bit Mario, no doubt tied into the Mario Maker game.

The rumor seems to have originated from here with the source being nintendo.es but that page no longer seems to exist as it was probably removed.

There is no official confirmation so it should be taken as a rumor for now; though it does look pretty good for a fake. Hopefully the Animal Crossing amiibo tie into a new Animal Crossing game on the Wii U!
