Hyrule Warriors - Fi | oprainfall

Well, the stream of ladies keep on coming in Hyrule Warriors! While it’s not exactly news that Fi is going to be playable in Hyrule Warriors, we can now share with you more details.

The overly talkative Goddess Sword spirit is joining the fray and employing a very unusual fighting style. It is very graceful and almost like she is dancing, involving Fi spinning around and slashing with her feet. I suppose that makes her body the hilt of the Goddess Sword and her feet the blade? Either way, it’s pretty interesting and unique looking, and will hopefully make her a contender. She is also seen using some magical attacks that look pretty devastating.

I admit I still prefer Midna and Impa, but Fi should mix things up. Don’t believe me? Take a look at the trailer below and chime in to comment!

    Intriguing; I can see playing as Fi quite a bit. As things stand now I imagine my main will be Impa, mostly because I don’t want to piss her off by not choosing her, but I like how different the characters seem to play. I’ve heard Dynasty Warriors dismissed as button-mashy, but these trailers don’t look like they play that way. Maybe the games just allow for that play-style, so that’s what people settle into. Regardless, when this was first announced I dismissed it as a spinoff I could skip, like Link’s Crossbow Training. Now I’m quite excited for it, and I won’t be skipping it.

    It seems to me as if Fi’s attacks seem slower than most of the other revealed characters. Perhaps this is because her basic moves all seem to have a wide area-of-effect? Or maybe it’s a game speed option?
    As for her humanoid form’s relation to the sword’s shape, I’m fairly certain her upper body and head represent the blade and her legs the grip, considering the green stripes on her leggings…so when she attacks by kicking in her human form, it’s like whacking people with the hilt of the blade.
    Come to think of it, if we were following her anatomy to the letter, she should technically be going around head-butting everything.
