A large assortment of new details has been released for Atelier Shallie: Alchemists of the Dusk Sea. New information from story content to gameplay has been added to the official website. Thanks to Gematsu, the new information has been translated.

Similar to Atelier Escha & Logy: Alchemists of the Dusk Sky, there will be two playable protagonists within the game. However, the two characters will have more diverging and unique paths. Shallistera, searching to solve her hometown’s water supply problems, will travel around the world to save her town and meet new allies. Meanwhile, Shallotte, desperate to shine, gets an opportunity to defend her own hometown when a “serious issue” occurs.

When the playable characters become level 40, they gain access to the growth system, which allows players to individually choose which stats and skills increase with growth points, similar to most MMORPGs. The leading ladies also gain important boosts through the Motivation System. With this system, fulfilling life tasks known as “desires” can increase movement speed and more abundant harvests. If the motivation gauge dwindles however, then harvests and alchemy will become less effective over time.

The cast of Atelier Shallie has much more detail with their characters than ever before, including multiple events that can be completed throughout the journey. New and returning characters can be viewed below, as well as two new videos Gust released today.

Oh I did not hear about the growth system. I wonder what it will be like. Also is it just me or it seems like Gust is going all out with this? Maybe I am just imagining things.
