Persona Q

With the Japanese release date of Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth drawing nearer, it seems that a special Persona Q 3DS XL will also be released. The system, dubbed “The Velvet Model”, features an exclusive Persona Q design on both sides and will come with a downloadable copy of the game. The front of the 3DS features a design reminiscent of the Vevlet Room. The French text reads “Grimoire of the Heart, Personality changes the world”. The back of the 3DS features the entire cast of Persona Q, including all the Persona 3 and Persona 4 characters as well as Rei and Zen, the new characters exclusive to Persona Q. Check out the design for yourself:

Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth is due out in Japan on June 5th. A North American release has been announced for the game, but a specific date has not been set. However, we can expect to see the game here either Q3 or Q4 of this year. Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth will be a crossover game for the Nintendo 3DS, featuring the cast of both Persona 3 and Persona 4 in addition to some new faces. The gameplay will be quite different from previous Persona games, and will feature gameplay similar to the Etrian Odyssey series.

If I had to guess I would say that we probably won’t be seeing this 3DS in the West, but it’s not totally out of the question considering that the game is being localized for North America. As always, we’ll keep you posted on any development on this console as well as localization of Persona Q: Shadow of the Labyrinth in the rest of the world. So stay tuned!
