Nintendo has not been slowing down when it comes to utilizing its famous IPs for the Wii U and 3DS. Yoshi, the lovable dinosaur friend of Mario, has definitely been busy as he finds himself in the starring role of Yarn Yoshi and the Yoshi’s New Island. Now, the green little dinosaur may be getting the Miyamoto treatment, as Nintendo’s legendary game designer has expressed an interest in making an all new Yoshi game.
In a interview with GamesIndustry.biz, Shigeru Miyamoto discussed the numerous Yoshi games now being developed at Nintendo, and his interest in designing an all new original Yoshi title.
“Not really. I guess this year we’re working on a number of Yoshi games, but I myself haven’t done a whole lot with Yoshi recently; maybe I’ll make a super original Yoshi game.”
While Miyamoto definitely has some pull at Nintendo, it might be a little too early to say a new Yoshi title is confirmed for development. Still, is anyone else excited for a Miyamoto directed Yoshi game?
