We’re only a day away till the E3 show floor opens, and Square Enix has already released some footage from the E3 demo of Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII, which will be on the E3 show floor soon.

Not much was shown here that we didn’t already know. However, it seems in this demo, you will be chasing down Snow Villiers while encountering a wave of enemies. Then, you’ll apparently encounter Lumina. When Lumina sees Lightning, she’ll act as though this was the first time they’ve ever met, then summon a creature for Lightning to fight. So it seems this demo takes place very early in the game.

Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII releases in Japan on November 21st, 2013, in North America on February 11th, 2014, in Australia on February 13th, 2014, and in Europe on February 14th, 2014.
