About Crystal Colwell

What's up everyone? Crystal here! I spend my time writing up the news for you all and keeping us all up to date with incoming game info from Japan. I do a little bit of everything else around here, too. 🙂 Happy Reading!

Square Enix can redeem themselves after they stop wearing the shell that they once were and surrender Xenogears and Chrono Break to Monolith Soft.

    • If they aren’t going to do anything with Xenogears they should just give them back to Monolith.

It’s not as if people don’t know who were the real developers of the game.

    • Xenogears has already been bought out hasn’t it? the whole Xenosaga trilogy was a spritual successor to that. And I highly doubt Chrono Break could ever live up to the original game, and I’m not even a big fan of Chrono trigger

    • Baten Kaitos Dango

I thought Chrono Cross did an excellent job on expanding an elaborating the Chrono universe. If Monolith Soft got a hold of Chrono Break, or rather the Chrono series, they might be able to create a future that should have existed.

    • Rohzek

I want Chrono Break! Seriously, though, Chrono Cross was an excellent sequel that expanded the series in very unexpected ways. I honestly don’t think anyone else should be permitted to touch it besides the Dream Team themselves. Thus there is gonna have to be a collaberation of people spread across at least two studios. If you look at any of the interviews of those involved with making the past three games stress that it be made by the original team. I await the day that they come together willingly.

  • I already have every game hard copy and I bet every other FF Fan does as well

  • Square-enix will never redeem themselves… they are dead… on the other hand I’ve already purchased all those games <> sooo this sale also does me no good.

  • :/ Hmm.. Maybe it’s a good time to buy FF 7, and 9… 8 can go die in a hole…

  • Mitchell

Eh, they can redeem themselves after they get together with tri-Ace and get Valkyrie Profile released on the PSN under PSone Classics. Oh, and stop with the shitty mobile games and get their SIX YEAR OLD IPs moving forward. I’m looking at youuuuuuuu, Versus and Type-0 (and FFX HD).

It’s sad how I’ve grown to hate a developer I once loved so much…
