With Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate set to release so soon we thought it would be a fun time to catch you up on some monster news. We all know that the game is centered around you… hunting monsters. What monster will you be hunting? Well, one is known as a Lagombi.
The Lagombi, which you will need to defeat in order to survive the harsh climate, has some nasty skills and tricks that allow it to survive the very terrain that is trying to kill you. The Lagombi sports a thick layer of fur along its back along with a smooth coated shell on its underside. The smooth shell gives this monster the ability to slide along the snow covered terrain at some serious high speeds.
The Lagombi uses its shell belly to slide around and away from you. In addition to sliding towards you or away from you, the monster can also slide in a circular pattern and trap you in place. To deal with this you must be super fast. You can either run away or you can guard. Both options available to you will require stamina which is all the while depleting in the cold cruel environment. To stave off the beast and have the stamina required you’ll need to collect hot drinks.
Hot drinks help to stop your stamina from depleting by warming your chilled worn out body. These will be required throughout the game in order to keep your weary bones moving along in the game. Be sure to keep them as part of your arsenal when you set out to defeat this, or any monster in a cold area such as the snowy mountains.
The Lagombi, which derives from the Azuras family, will most likely be swiping at you with some sharp claws as your trying to dodge its nasty attacks and sliding frenzied actions. Be sure to keep up with what attacks work best for these types of monsters and you will surely come out on the winning side of any battle. Practice makes perfect and you will have plenty by the time you reach the Lagombi in Monster Hunter 3 Ultimate.
