It’s been very quiet on the news front for Bravely Default: Flying Fairy since the beginning of this campaign, but now we finally have something to quench our thirst for BDFF news. Square Enix has trademarked the name “All The Bravest” and has been registered for use with computer game software, video game software, general entertainment, etc.. They have also registered two domain names of, and .

Bravely Default

She’s praying that it’s true just like us.

She’s praying that it’s true just like us. This could possibly a renamed and localized version of what we know as Bravely Default: Flying Fairy. Let’s hope this is true…

About BDFFLocalize

Our mission is simple: to show Square Enix that those in the regions other than Japan want the game, "Bravely Default Flying Fairy" to come to their shores. LET YOUR VOICE BE HEARD

  • I’ve been dying to play this! Please let it be what we all are hoping for!

  • If it’s what we hope it is, the title sure sounds better than “Bravely Default”; not that the former title is terrible or anything. All the Bravest – sounds like a code.

  • I hope this is true.  This game sounds like fun, and I’d love to have a shot at playing it in a language I understand.

  • I sure hope so.

  • Why don’t they just keep the Japanese Title? It works.

    • The point of this kind of games is the story line. Is like playing Phoenix Wright or 999 in Japanese, unless you are fluent you don’t understand shit about it and you will say the game sucks

    • He’s talking about the title, which is already in English…

  • Discomaster

I’d prefer the original name, but I’ll take what I can get. Hope we get this game soon!

  • God I hope so.. especially since the damn 3DS is region locked… and who cares about the name change guys? It’s a freakin’ title! If it’s the same game and we are lucky enough for it to actually be released over seas when there has practically been a freakin’ blockade against any jrpgs being released in America isn’t the name the LEAST important thing?

  • I hope so, and it better come to PAL regions! It’s bad enough we didn’t get Code of Princess; I can’t miss this game!

  • Can someone explain to me what “Bravely Default” is even supposed to mean? To me, it just sounds like 2 random words put together.

    • I’ve thought about that, and the closest I can come is that maybe the name was supposed to suggest “Brave by Default,” “Bravely by Default” or something along those lines.  Otherwise, I don’t know.

    • RichieBerry

Well, “default” is a verb and “bravely” is and adverb, so it makes some sense grammatically. Default, verb: to fail to pay financial debts (like a mortgage)… Well I guess that would be pretty courageous (brave)–it would totally wreck your credit score!

Maybe that’s when the fairy flies in and forgives your debts???

    • Default is usually an adjective or a noun, which is how I was trying to think of it. But you’re right, since Bravely is an adverb, it must be a verb then! Clearly, this game is about finance.

    • Random words or not the only way to know is by playing the game, but the name doesn’t really matters, what matters is that the game is like the original Final Fantasy. In fact if this had been named Final Fantasy it would make sense

    • THAT certainly gets me more interested in it.

  • I know beggars can’t be choosers, but that title is terrible.

    • I’m not a big fan either, but if the game comes out here, I’ll be happy. Even if it keeps this title.

  • Eugene Ng

I agree, I hope the game comes out but I hope hope the game name does not change!

  •  The name does sound stupid

  • All The Bravest is actually a nice sounding name and would likely do better for North America. What I don’t understand is it’s not like Square is trying to hide the Bravely Default name or anything as it’s been plastered all over the internet already.

    • The only people that know the name Bravely Default are the people that actively seek information on Japanese releases.

  • It’s fun to look back at this article and laugh. Laugh at what we thought was going to be something so great, that turned out to be SE basically begging for money.
