A tweet from LYGO International has revealed that they are planning to launch a head set simultaneously with the Wii U. The Wii itself had an optional voice chat feature called the wii speak. The wii speak allowed people to talk with each other over the internet but since it was not a head set it didn’t sit well with many gamers. But now you’ll be able to be yelled at by angry gamers on Wii U just as you are on Xbox Live and PSN. At least now when we play any games that have online multiplayer we will be be able to have a private, personal sort of communication with people right from the get go.

Get your ears ready at launch for a Wii U head set!

  • I’m hoping that the video chat feature, allowing you to put a face to the voices, would elicit less of a hostile reaction than you get on PSN or XBL

    • Assholes always find away, but I hope to hear less of them on wiiu.

  • I wonder if this will end up like most other Nintendo peripherals in that only one or two games will ever use it.

  • I hope this means Wii U will have a more dedicated online service to rival the 360 and PS3.
