If you’ve been patiently awaiting your chance to own a copy of Mamoru Hosoda’s Wolf Children, your wait is almost over. FUNimation accounced recently that they had acquired the film and were planning to release it in November. Additionally, they recently revealed a few details about the release and confirmed that both Blu-ray and DVD versions would be available on November 26th. After all of these announcements, it seems that today, the film is finally available for pre-order on Amazon.
Wolf Children is a film directed by Mamoru Hosada, which has been receiving a host of praise and awards since it was released in Japan in July of 2012. It tells a heartwarming story of Hana, as she struggles to raise her two half-wolf children, Ame and Yuki. The film features some fantastic storytelling complimented by top of the line animation and a beautiful soundtrack. It has received some limited screenings in the United States. Additionally, FUNimation streamed an English trailer a while back, and more recently released a second one.
