During today’s Nintendo Direct, a huge list of upcoming titles for the Wii U Virtual Console was announced. Including both NES and SNES games, it promises to give gamers quite an exciting time in the future. The montage video showed several classic titles from many of Nintendo’s most popular genres and franchises. In the coming weeks and months, fans can look forward to seeing these games coming to the Wii U eShop:

- Kirby’s Dream Land 3 (SNES)
- Wrecking Crew (NES)

While an announcement like this is easily overshadowed by news like Bravely Default, EarthBound and others, it’s certainly good to see more great games from Nintendo’s past coming to the Virtual Console for veteran and new gamers alike. Some of these games are already included on the 3DS eShop, but now those who wish to play on their home consoles will have that opportunity.
