Poker Night 2 Players

Telltales Games has announced Poker Night 2, a follow-up to their 2010 poker simulator, Poker Night at the Inventory. Poker Night was a charming little game in which you, as the player, would play a high-stakes game of Poker with an unlikely grouping of video game characters. These included Max from the Sam and Max franchise, Strong Bad from the Homestar Runner web cartoons, The Heavy Weapons Guy of Team Fortress 2 fame, and Tycho Brahe, one of the main characters from the Penny Arcade web comic.

Gameplay-wise, Poker Night was just a run-of-the-mill poker game. However, the main draw of the game was the witty and entertaining conversations that the various characters would have with each other between hands. Poker Night 2 will be bringing a similar experience, albeit with an even more unlikely team of opponents. This time, you’ll be putting on your poker face for Brock Samson from the Venture Brothers TV show on Adult Swim, Claptrap of the Borderlands franchise, Ash Williams from the Evil Dead movies, and the other half of the Freelance Police, Sam from Sam and Max. Poker Night 2 will also have a dedicated character as the dealer in the form of everyone’s favorite homicidal robot brain, GLaDOS of the Portal franchise.

Poker Night 2 will also include various unlockable bonuses for different games and online services depending on which platform you choose to play the game. These include various vanity items in Team Fortress 2 and Borderlands 2 on Steam, and interface and avatar features on PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360.

Currently, Poker Night 2 is “coming soon,” but we’ll be sure to let you know when a more concrete date is announced.
