Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII was one of the four “guests of honor” during this year’s Japan Expo, which takes place in France. Square Enix took full advantage of this opportunity, and released some new gameplay of Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII, and a new trailer as well.
The trailer revealed that Fang from past games in the Final Fantasy XIII series will be returning in Lightning Returns: Final Fantasy XIII. It seems that she is leading some sort of military unit in which Lightning becomes a new recruit. The conflict between Noel and Lightning was given a bit more context by this reveal.
Square Enix also gave a live, on-stage demo of the Dead Dunes area. You can watch it below.
