Naoshi Arakawa recently launched the Farewell, My Dear Cramer (Sayonara Watashi no Cramer) in Kodansha’s Monthly Shonen Magazine. Arakawa is known for creating the Your Lie in April manga. Along with the launch of the new series, Kodansha Comics announced that Farewell, My Dear Cramer would receive a simultaneous digital English release. Sentai Filmworks has announced that they have licensed the second season of Chaika the Coffin Princess. The second season originally aired from October 2014 - December 2014. It was produced by animation studio Bones, directed by Soichi Masuri and had 10 episodes. In total, the series had 22 episodes and 1 OVA. Crunchyroll announced some big news today. They announced that they would be entering into an alliance with KADOKAWA. With this partnership, they gain exclusive worldwide distribution rights for upcoming KADOKAWA anime titles. There will be a marketing collaboration between Crunchyroll’s distribution platforms and KADOKAWA’s publishing business. Future KADOKAWA titles will also be co-produced by Crunchyroll. Both companies hope this partnership will help to increase the growth of Japanese content in North America.
Japanese social media has fallen in love with a fictional English teacher and her name is Ellen Baker. Ms. Baker is featured in a middle school New Horizon English book. A Twitter user, @haiyore_audio, believed this English teacher from Boston looked pretty cute and tweeted some pictures of Ellen Baker from the textbook. VIZ Media is bringing new digital updates to their streaming platform to kick off the Spring 2016 anime season. The most notable of these updates is the premiere of Part 4 of JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure. Part 4 is titled JoJo’s Bizarre Adventure: Diamond Is Unbreakable and the first episode will be available for streaming on April 8. VIZ Media will also begin streaming the second season of Terraformars this month.
Visual novel developer Key has announced that planetarian ~the reverie of a little planet~ would be receiving an anime adaptation.
