At Gamescom 2013, Microsoft announced the Xbox Independent Games program, to be run by Chris Charla, Microsoft Studios’ Portfolio Director for Digital Games. With this program, indie developers will pay no fees and won’t require additional certification or activation. They will receive two free developer’s kits and may use and connect to the cloud for free.

With no livestream of the event, we are making do as best we can with Twitter updates. While we will have more information available later, we know that Mojang, Double Fine, Splash Damage and Chris Hecker appeared in an Xbox Independent Games program sizzle reel.
What other game possibilities could this mean for the Xbox One? I’m not sure, but it sure sounds like good news for indie developers.
What would all of YOU want to see become part of the Xbox Independent Games program?
