Square Enix has announced that Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn will be released sometime this summer for the Sony PlayStation 3 and the PC.
There will be cross-platform access, much like in Final Fantasy XI, where PC players will be on the same servers as PS3 players so they can play together.
Phase 3 of the closed Beta testing period will also begin in June. This third phase will open up new content, such as the two new cities: Ul’dah and Limsa Lominsa.
Both the PC and PS3 versions of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn are currently available for pre-order at Amazon.com. (Editor’s note: Amazon.ca is no longer taking pre-orders for unknown reasons.)
