A final trailer has been released ufotable’s upcoming anime film adaptation, Witch on the Holy Night. The trailer is a little over 90-seconds long and previews some scenes featuring Aoko Aozaki, Alice Kuonji, and Soujyurou Sizuki. It also gives a first listen of the film’s theme song.

You can check out the final trailer below.

The film’s theme song is called “Yoru to Ao” and is performed by supercell with Yanagi Nagi providing the vocals. It has been about 15 years since Yanagi Nagi was the vocalist on a new song by supercell. The group previously performed the song “Hoshi ga Matataku Konna Yoru ni” which was the ending song for the original Witch on the Holy Night visual novel.  In talking about the new song, ryo mentioned that if it weren’t for this opportunity, supercell would probably have remained dormant. Yanagi is both surprised and delighted to be able to sing a new song as part of supercell again. She was shocked at how long it’s been since “Hoshi ga Matataku Konna Yoru ni” released and remembers singing it as if it were yesterday.

A new visual drawn by Hirokazu Koyama has also been released and can be seen below.

The girl meets a boy.
This is the beginning of one young girl’s story — the tale of a Witch.

Witch on the Holy Night is an anime film by ufotable which adapts the TYPE-MOON visual novel of the same name which released for PC in 2012. It premieres in Japan on November 20, 2026 with an overseas release to follow starting January 2027. The visual novel’s HD remaster released in 2022 for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch and 2023 for PC via Steam. It was first written in 1996 by Kinoko Nasu and it laid the groundwork (see note *6 in READ ME! column) for future works by Nasu such as Tsukihime and Fate/stay night.

If you’re interested in the film adaptation, you can follow its official Japanese X (formerly Twitter) account and check out its official Japanese website.
