Crunchyroll and Sony Pictures Entertainment have announced an overseas release for Ufotable’s anime film adaptation of Witch on the Holy Night. Overseas screenings start on January 21, 2027 in the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia with screenings in the United States and Canada scheduled to begin on January 29, 2027. It will be available with Japanese voices and English subtitles as well as an English dub. Screenings in Japan begin on November 20, 2026.

This is the beginning of one young girl’s story — the tale of a Witch.
Witch on the Holy Night is an anime film by Ufotable which adapts the TYPE-MOON visual novel of the same name which released for PC in 2012. The visual novel’s HD remaster released in 2022 for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch and 2023 for PC via Steam. It was first written in 1996 by Kinoko Nasu and it laid the groundwork (see note *6 in READ ME! column) for future works by Nasu such as Tsukihime and Fate/stay night.
