Nihon Falcom and GungHo Online Entertainment America have released the opening movie for Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter. In addition, a demo is now live for the game on PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. While the game is also releasing on Nintendo Switch 2, that version does not have a demo available for download.

The demo allows players to play the game from the Prologue all the way to the end of Chapter 1 and has approximately 10 hours of gameplay. Those who have save data from Trails in the Sky 1st Chapter will unlock the Classic Style SC Costumes in the demo. Save data from the demo can be carried over to the full game release. On PlayStation 5 and Steam, you can load the demo data straight from the “Load Game” option while those on Nintendo Switch will have to use the “Transfer” option on the title screen.
Trails in the Sky 2nd Chapter is developed by Nihon Falcom and a full 3D remake of The Legend of Heroes: Trails in the Sky SC. It is scheduled to launch on September 17, 2026 for PlayStation 5, Nintendo Switch 2, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam.
