This has been a very busy week for me in real life, and I am surprised at how much I was able to still get done in Animal Crossing: New Horizons. There are less than 30-days left until this New Year’s resolution is completed and the first iteration of Tom Nook’s Snapshots is completed. I will say I have been desperately trying to catch up on all the column entries I’ve been missing. By the time that this one goes live, I will be finally up to date except for the week that ends this coming Tuesday.
I really want to continue into 3.0 and pick up the DLC and see how things change and grow and expand on my island with it all. I think it’ll all be utterly fascinating.
I just wish that I had more inventory space to store all these toys I am buying…

December 3

Since I started playing Animal Crossing: New Horizons today while Nook’s Cranny was still open, I stopped by to see what toy they had for sale. Today, it was an RC helicopter! And you can bet I copped the ‘copter. I don’t know exactly what I am going to do with all of these toys, but I will figure out something.
After chopping down another money tree and digging it up, I planted another one in the middle of my island. I am tired of banging on rocks, to be honest, and so this is my best way to bring in more money at the moment.
But the highlight of the day was Redd visiting with more art pieces for sale! I looked around and a lot of them were clearly fake…Except…I think the Da Vinci Vitruvian Man drawing is authentic. Every time I’ve seen it for sale previously, it had a giant coffee stain in the corner. I unfortunately did not see the original when I went to Venice in 2017, but this must be real, right?
December 4

The part that kills me about dealing with Gulliver and all his drama is that he often doesn’t recognize me when he first washes up on shore. How often is this happening that he runs into that many people that he cannot remember them all?!
Anyway, Gulliver washed up on my Animal Crossing: New Horizons beach once more today, and I agreed to help him find his communicator parts. It wasn’t easy (okay, maybe it was), but I found all five of them and I gave them to him so he could help summon more help.
I unfortunately played so late today that I didn’t get to see what toy Nook’s Cranny was selling. Maybe tomorrow…
December 5

Today’s toy at Nook’s Cranny was a dollhouse! I stopped in during business hours to sell off some random odds and ends, and I saw it. I did not buy it, since I realized I shouldn’t be filling up my inventory without a purpose. Maybe I should consider doing a gift exchange for all the islanders for Toy Day? I think that is exactly what I am going to do!
Kicks stopped by the island today, too, and set up shop. I bought new soccer socks and a pair of samurai greaves from him. I don’t know quite what kind of outfit I’ll wear them with, but there must be something.
Finally, I made visits to some of my islanders since I realized I haven’t talked to them for a few days. I said hi to Cephalobot and Tybalt, and they both seemed happy to see me. It is nice to talk to others that you’re cohabiting with, even if they don’t help with public work projects as much as you do. (No, that’s not me being upset at having to fund pretty much everything myself…)
December 6

Today’s toy at Nook’s Cranny didn’t interest me at all, but the evergreen ash did. I have no idea what I am going to do with it other than to set it up outside somewhere, but I am definitely going to do so. I honestly think it is a steal for 3,720 Bells.
Other than that, it is Saturday night in Animal Crossing: New Horizons…and that means that K.K. Slider is in town! He called me the “cool cat who puts the hep in my step,” and he played K.K. Samba for me and Goose tonight. Goose wandered in riiiiiiiiiiiight as he was going to start playing, funnily enough, but I guess better that he is later than he never shows up, right?
December 7

Today, Nook’s Cranny sold a mini circuit, and it feels like I am about to play Pocket Racer and challenge Pocket Circuit Fighter for the championship! Of course, I had to buy it. I don’t know if I am keeping it for myself or gifting it to someone else on Renassia.
Other than that, I checked the kiosk at Nook Shopping and I harvested most of my crops scattered on the island. I need to make sure I have enough money kicking around to buy whatever gifts pop up in the coming days to gift to people.
December 8

Today’s toy is a kids’ tent. I don’t know exactly what I am going to do with it, but I snapped it up for 5,400 Bells, and I sold off my crops afterwards for 5,040 Bells. I am slowly amassing a collection of toys, and I hope I’ll have enough different stuff to give everyone on Toy Day.
I ran into Gayle, who was happy to talk with me, and then I chatted up Label who wanted me to show her an outfit that said “I’m on vacation!” I slapped on the thing she gave me, and I guess the rest of my outfit for the week screamed “vacation” because she said that she would send me tailors tickets to use at Able Sisters. I haven’t actually used any of the tickets I’ve gotten yet, but I really should.
I finally went around and started to pull up some weeds. Ever since I did away with the old ordinance and started the Bell Bloom one, weeds have been popping up everywhere. They have become a real problem on my island, and I ended up also harvesting the rest of my island’s crops while I was at it.
December 9

This is a downer way to conclude a week of Animal Crossing: New Horizons, but Tutu confided in me about leaving Renassia. I don’t know if she wants to spend more time on Haven, or what is going on. But I definitely felt it to be quite a shock. I asked her to stay and she said yes, thankfully.
Otherwise, I planted some of the other pumpkin varieties I got back on Turkey Day. I realized that I should have a variety on hand to use in DIY recipes as needed and so I am not as reliant on the larger Animal Crossing: New Horizons community to make things happen as I was on that day.
Other than that, it was a pretty sleepy ending to my week!
