We here at oprainfall don’t just love video games: we’re big fans of anime, too. So in celebration of the medium, we’re here to give you our thoughts on what we’ve been watching each week as we watch it. Old, new – anything goes.

Love After World Domination
We start off with Fudo getting blackmailed by someone who took pictures of him with Desumi. On the other end, we get introduced to a new character who likes to mess around with Desumi at school. We also get to see Kiki and Kyoko make appearance again, this time at school. Geko’s princesses seem to live like normal students when not plotting or causing chaos. As Fudo meets his blackmailer, he ends up being quite bad at playing the role. Most of the requests he’s given, such as kissing their hand and breaking up with Desumi, are flat out denied. Even when faced with such issues, Fudo stays strong, which definitely fits with his character. Desumi believes the blackmailer is interested into Fudo, which lead to this; however, like many a thing in the series, it turns out it’s a bit different than what you would think. With this we get to see a new Gekko princess who hopefully makes some more appearances. After the incident, Desumi invites Fudo and Haru to study at her room, which is at a Gekko dorm. To get them in, some disguises are needed. I can’t help but like Fudo’s expert disguise as he can’t even wear the mask correctly. While Desumi and Fudo are good students, it turns out they’re not the greatest at teaching, as Haru has some problems in the session. Like in most episodes we are left off with something to get us ready for the next episode with Desumi’s father at the door. I’m excited to see how a certain family member will appear. – Walter

Ya Boy Kongming! (Paripi Kōmei)
After practicing with Nanami, Eiko goes back to the studio. While she has improved, she still is told she hasn’t found her voice yet. We see Kabe hanging out with some old friends and continuing to get back in the right mindset for his next rap battle. We also get to Kongming, who has been keeping a low profile the last few episodes while keeping an eye on the two. Using the last of Kongming’s gifts, Eiko and Nanami head out together. The last few episodes have hinted that there’s something up with Nanami and she finally reveals it to Eiko. We get to see how Nanami and her friends had a rough time with being noticed with their music and had to make compromises. We also see that she will be a rival for Eiko. With the revelation, Eiko once again sings and now seems to have found what she’s been looking for. With the deadline getting closer I’d like to see their progress. – Walter

SPY x Family
We finally get to meet Yor’s younger brother Yuri, who is of course more than he appears at first. Much like Loid and Yor, he leads a secret double life as a member of the country’s counter-intelligence agency, the highly-feared secret police, and his number one enemy is Twilight. It’s a good thing Twilight is a master of disguise, otherwise this first meeting might be their last, as no one has any idea about anyone else’s secret identities – until Loid is able to figure it out thanks to some chatter about wine. It makes for some great comedy, even if I personally find Yuri’s sister complex a bit overdone. Both him and Yor being absolute idiots is fantastic, though. I’m curious to see how Anya will react to her “uncle” when she finally has the chance to meet him and find out his actual occupation, but we’ll have to wait for that, it seems. I love the cliffhanger ending of this episode and can’t wait to see more. – Leah
