Atelier Lydie and Suelle | Plachta doesn't like mangled books

While we here at Operation Rainfall love covering the latest in gaming news and sharing our reviews of titles new and classic, we also just enjoy playing games in our downtime. So with that, sit back, relax, and check out what the oprainfall gaming crew have been up to this week!

Stardew Valley | Fishing on my beach farm
I seem to catch some good stuff at this special fishing spot.

This week I didn’t play a ton of any one game, but I did play a few different things. In Stardew Valley, I continued to make progress on both my main Switch file and on my new beach farm. Last week I mentioned Robin was building my first chicken coop. Well, she finished building it and I got one white chicken and a blue one. I may get myself a couple more blue chickens in the future sometime. Also, the traveling cart finally had a truffle for sale. So two of the four master fish are the very last items I need to collect for the community center. Over on Crystal Isles Farm (my beach path), I merely kept trudging through my first spring. There was a little mine exploration, a bit of fishing, I continued to farm my small plot of crops and then I finished up spring and planted new summer crops, mainly blueberries. – Jenae

Atelier Lydie and Suelle | Plachta doesn't like mangled books
Neither can I Plachta, mangled books are the worst.

Alongside my Stardew Valley fun, I also slowly got back into Atelier Lydie and Suelle. In Atelier Lydie and Suelle, I finished up the vacation chapter in which the party explores an underwater painting. We found ourselves hanging out with Captain Backen and we traveled around to check out what kind of treasure he’s been keeping safe. Then I got a tiny bit into the following chapter where I’ve started going through all the newly available story scenes. There always seems to be loads of those stories all over town, each new chapter. Though I’ve realized that’s pretty much the standard in Atelier games where there’s one main town as your home base. Later on, when I wanted a break from all the new chapter Atelier happenings, I jumped back into Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition. I’ve already beaten the definitive edition but find myself doing the same thing I’ve done with XC2, periodically grinding further and completing various endgame sidequests and other stuff I hadn’t completed beforehand. This past week I mostly just fought a handful of enemies around level 82 and got everyone up to 80 or 81 from level 79. Also, earlier tonight I started working on unlocking more of the optional skill trees as well. I got Sharla’s fourth skill tree and have gone back to complete old Colony 9 quests so I can get Shulk’s next. My Colony 9 affinity isn’t high enough yet for his. And that’s about it for my latest weekly gaming, well besides a little bit of Mahjong Soul on my phone, as usual. – Jenae
