Shadow Corridor is a survival horror set in Japan. Surrounded by darkness, labyrinthian hallways lay before you. Unfortunately, you don’t even have a flashlight to help illuminate the dim, procedurally generated passages you find yourself in. The question is, how long can you survive amongst the wandering spirits? Shadow Corridor is set to haunt Switch players when it releases on October 26th. That puts it just in time for Halloween! The Nintendo Switch version also includes all previous DLC.
Staying alive will be tricky. Fortunately, helpful items are waiting to be discovered around creepy corners. Their effects range from passive to active. You’d better watch your back, though. The spirits of the cursed Noh mask wander in the voids of these halls, and they are smarter than you think. Furthermore, the Switch version adds a new “Apparition Defenders” mode where you play as the ghosts hunting the humans.
The ghosts of Shadow Corridor will react to various things, such as your footsteps or light. Many types of spirits wander these halls, each with their own abilities and appearances. Players of all skill levels can enjoy the game, with difficulty levels ranging from beginner to shura.
Since the levels are procedurally generated, you won’t be able to rely on memory. Each run will be a new search for useful items that might help you survive just a bit longer. All the while, you’ll need to be careful not to attract the attention of the ghosts. As you explore, wrong paths will thwart you as the spirits threaten to take your life. Survival will not be easy.
