Indie game developer Midgar Studio and publisher Dear Villagers have just launched a new gameplay overview trailer for hit JRPG, Edge of Eternity. The game will launch on PC (Steam) on June 8th with a huge launch update adding 10 additional hours of gameplay to the adventure. Console players will be able to get the JRPG on Xbox One, Xbox Series X, Xbox Game Pass, and PlayStation 4 & 5 sometime in Q4 2021.

The people of Heyron find themselves in a desperate war against a mysterious invader, as the world is torn apart. As the flames of war reach catastrophic proportions, a new threat emerges from the battlefield. Join Daryon and Selene on a tense quest to find a cure for the corruption that consumes all. You are the last hope for the world of Heryon!

Midgar Studio is based in southern France, and this adventure was made possible by over 4,000 generous fans who supported its Kickstarter campaign. The crowdfunding was so successful in fact, that the developers got the chance to work with the legendary composer of Chrono Trigger, Yasunori Mitsuda.

Edge of Eternity features a gorgeous world with a deep, strategic turn-based combat system, a charismatic cast of characters, and a stunning soundtrack. Midgar Studios founder, Jeremy Zeler, commented about what an ambitious project the game has been for them:

“Making a JRPG as a small indie studio is, obviously, a huge undertaking. I’m so grateful to all the people in the community who’ve helped make this crazy dream a reality. Everyone on the team is excited for the launch. It’s going to be epic!”

Michael is a veteran gamer in his late 30s, who grew up around video games, with fond memories of the oldies like the NES, SNES, and N64 among others. He loves Nintendo, but also plays a lot of games on his PC. Michael also enjoys going for walks/bike rides, loves animals, and enjoys thunderstorms (and science in general). I love Nintendo but I also play a lot of game's on PC, many of which are on steam. My favorite Nintendo game's include Zelda, Metroid, and Smash Bros to name a few. On PC I love the Half-Life games, as well as most all of the Source Engine games just to name a few.
