Coffee Noir Releases Trailer and Demo

Is there anything better than a fine cup of black coffee? Maybe there are a few things, but not many. Anyway, do your dreams consist of solving crimes AND running your own coffee shop? Well, you just might be in luck because DOJI and NAOS Software want to help you out with their upcoming game Coffee Noir, and right now you can even download a demo.

In Coffee Noir you assume the role of Arthur Oliver, a hardboiled detective in Neo-London who goes undercover running a coffee shop in order to solve a mystery surrounding a crime committed against one of the biggest names in coffee. The game attempts to combine a murder mystery visual novel with a business simulator offering both robust simulation mechanics and economy with a compelling mystery, and a comic book style aesthetic.

Coffee Noir is a combination of a detective novel and a business management game with elegant 2D graphics in a classic comic-book style spiced up with jazz music and retrofuturistic feeling. It offers clever and challenging entertainment, with an advanced economic engine designed by academics and equipped with actual market functions giving a complex business simulation.

In an alternative future, the world of 2021 is ruled by coffee and Neo-London goes crazy for it. Recently a mysterious crime has happened to one of the city’s main coffee businessmen. The player discovers the story as Arthur Oliver, a hard-boiled detective who has to work undercover as a coffee salesman to gain the trust of the industry’s tycoons who might have the information that will help solve the case.
