A remake of Monster World IV titled Wonder Boy: Asha in Monster World has been announced and is in development. Publisher ININ Games have released the debut trailer. The game is said to be a full remake with some new additions including voice-overs for the first time in the series. This remake is being worked on by the original staff from Westone Bit Entertainment with supervision from Wonder Boy series creator Ryuichi Nishizawa.
