Well folks, I recognize this Nintendo Download is a bit late, but with all the chaos out in the world these days, that’s to be expected. So while I apologize for the tardiness, I hope you’re still excited to check out some new Nintendo games! This week is pretty hefty, with a couple featured titles, some new DLC for a fun game, and the usual sales and digital goodies. Let’s start off this Nintendo Download with two rather eclectic titles.
I admit to not always being a huge fan of the Pokémon offshoot series, such as Snap, but there have been some I liked. I still have very fond memories of Gale of Darkness, for example. Well, if you love dungeon crawling rogue mechanics with pokémon, then you should enjoy this next title. Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Rescue Team DX is, I believe, a remake of two other games, Rescue Team Blue and Red. This version has some upgraded animation and even Mega evolutions. But that’s not all. The other featured title isn’t nearly as well known as the gigantic Pokémon series, but that doesn’t mean it’s not worth paying attention to. Murder by Numbers is a VN with mystery and Pixel Puzzles. It has a very attractive aesthetic, thanks to the artwork of Hato Moa (Hatoful Boyfriend), and music from Masakazu Sugimori (Phoenix Wright, Viewtiful Joe). Those are some great names, and I have high hopes for Murder by Numbers. If you’re still not convinced, stay tuned for oprainfall’s official review. Now let’s continue this Nintendo Download with some new DLC for a ghostbusting good time.
Conjure up More Multiplayer* Scares in Luigi’s Mansion 3 – Watch out, Luigi! A ghastly wave of new ghosts and content has arrived. The Luigi’s Mansion 3 Multiplayer Pack – Part 1 is now available, and this paid DLC** adds three new costumes that Luigi can don in the ScareScraper mode. It also adds matching themes in the ScareScraper mode that transform the appearance of the tower’s floors, as well as themed ghosts. Take a stroll over to the multiplayer ScreamPark mode too, where three new madcap mini-games await. The Luigi’s Mansion 3 Multiplayer Pack DLC includes both Part 1 and Part 2, and can be purchased together for $9.99 in Nintendo eShop on the Nintendo Switch system. Part 2 will launch by the end of July.
As for sales, there’s a couple this week. Firstly, there’s a Mega Man franchise sale happening til the 9th, and it features the following titles – Mega Man Legacy Collection (3DS, Switch), Mega Man Legacy Collection 2 (Switch), Mega Man X Legacy Collection (Switch), Mega Man X Legacy Collection 2 (Switch) and the fantastic Mega Man 11 (Switch). Sadly the newly released Zero / ZX Collection isn’t in the sale, but considering that just came out, I’m not that surprised.

There’s only a couple digital titles out for next week’s Nintendo Download. If you’re a fan of colorful time management games, you might enjoy Welcome to Primrose Lake. But if you’re more of a fan of tactical joy, then you’ll want to check out Langrisser I & II (and stay tuned for my upcoming review).
These are the digital goodies out for this Nintendo Download. Not a ton, but a respectable chunk. First off, if you like retro, then you might like Arcade Archives P.O.W. -PRISONERS OF WAR-. If you prefer games with puzzles, you might enjoy ibb & obb, Save Koch and Unlock the King. Platformer fanatics should enjoy Bleed Complete Bundle and Wunderling. And finally, if you love games with a focus on story, you’re in luck with the following – Afterparty, Breeder Homegrown: Director’s Cut, Lost Horizon, Swordbreaker The Game and Syrup and The Ultimate Sweet.
A pretty good mix for this Nintendo Download, if I say so myself. Thanks as usual for tuning into oprainfall for your weekly Nintendo Download, and be sure to tune in next time!
