From the creator of Katamari Damacy and Noby Noby Boy, the legendary Keita Takahashi’s latest opus is Wattam – a game that, at its core, is the ultimate toybox.
Developed by independent game studio Funomena over several years, the game chronicles friendship and folly in colorful and bombastic ways. To commemorate the moment, iam8bit is releasing special physical editions of Wattam with three collectable covers: Apple, Sushi, and Sun. The physical editions also come with an original instruction manual written and illustrated by Takahashi. Wattam features music by Asuka, Brad, Sam, and Timmie, and comes region-free.
In addition to the special edition physical editions, iam8bit is also celebrating the music of Wattam with a vinyl soundtrack. The 2xLP Bowler Hat Black Vinyl comes with innovative packaging with a popout mayor hat and album art by Takahashi.
As a special bonus, a handful of randomly selected orders will receive a one-of-a-kind, original drawing by Takahashi. These drawings will remain a surprise until orders ship.
The physical edition for the PlayStation 4 and the vinyl album will be available for pre-order on Thursday, Dec. 12, 2019, for $29.99 USD and $39.99 USD respectively. Both are set to release in 2020.
Wattam will launch digitally on the Epic Game Store and PlayStation Network on Dec. 17, 2019.
