Phantom: Covert Ops is poised to arrive on two different VR platforms next year. It won the Best VR game at E3 from GameCritics this year. It has also gotten a number of other awards, with many people excited for the game. Phantom: Covert Ops will be arriving on both the Oculus Rift and Oculus Quest platforms next year. The launch date is now 2020 because nDreams needed a bit more time to make sure the game will meet their high standards. They’ll be announcing more specifics in the coming months. The press release also says that the title is cross buy. This means that if you happen to own both headsets, you’ll only need to buy the game once to play it on both.

The two versions of Phantom: Covert Ops have identical gameplay. However, the developers also wanted to play to each headset’s strengths. The additional power of the PC allows for a visually enhanced take on each of the game’s locales. They have improved real-time water reflections, water dynamics, atmospherics, made higher resolution materials, and more to make the game world feel that much more real.
