In a recent Q&A Live Stream, someone asked Capcom “Would you guys be willing to localize Project X Zone?”  Their answer: “Just to clarify, that’s not us,” said Capcom’s Christian Svennson.

They also had this to say:

“We’ve provided some characters via a licensing agreement. I believe it’s Namco Bandai that’s doing the publishing.”

“So if there’s any questions about whether it’s going to be localized, or what the plan is, they have to be directed to Namco Bandai, not us. I’m sorry, we have no visibility or even say in whether that happens or not.”

The same question was asked by a user named Buffy on their website  Ask Capcom. Then Capcom staff member, user name Viewtiful Vaughn, replied with:

“That’s Namco Bandai’s decision. The only involvement Capcom has is that their characters are in the game.”

Both Capcom Employees  have confirmed the same thing.

So there is little doubt now that Capcom has no real say in the matter, and Sega is most likely in the same position in that they only agreed to license their characters for this particular game. Our best bet is to ask Namco Bandai themselves; politely of course. So if you want this game localized, you know the drill.
