Bandai Namco’s financial results have revealed the launch window for the upcoming Tales of series game headed for Nintendo Switch. In the current fiscal year the publisher plans to launch an entry in the long running JRPG series by March 2018. While a Tales of game was teased briefly during the Switch Presentation back in January, it’s still unknown if the project is a brand new game or a port of a more recent game, such as Tales of Berseria.
The Tales of series has had an interesting history with Nintendo, most notably due to the popular Gamecube entry Tales of Symphonia. Lloyd Irving, the protagonist of Symphonia, has been a popular fan-requested guest character of the Super Smash Bros. series. While he has yet to join the fight players were able to purchase a Mii Swordfighter character costume based on him in Super Smash Bros. for Wii U and 3DS.
