Nintendo Switch Monthly Free Classic Games Not Really Free

The Nintendo Switch will have a monthly free classic title available to play for free, but there’s talk of it being only available for that month. The truth is that the monthly free classic title will be free only for that first month. If you want to keep playing it beyond that first month, you will have to purchase it. So it’s like a virtual console title but with a free trial period during which you can try it out for free. You can see this in Wired journalist, Chris Kohler’s recent tweets:

This certainly makes a bit more sense than if the free classic were only available during that first month, and then after that there was no way to get it. That would be undeniably, well, stupid. Don’t you think?
