Sometimes at Oprainfall, we like to burn the midnight oil. Case in point, we’re sharing a trailer with you in the wee hours because some of what we’ve seen at E3 has us so hyped we can’t sleep! As to the subject at hand, SNK provided us with a brand new E3 2016 trailer for The King of Fighters XIV, which shows us a good deal of gameplay as well as the various modes that will be available to fans.
Thought we’d put this one up so you can marvel at what we hope will be fighting game perfection. The series has long been lauded as among the best fighters of all time, so here’s to hoping that this latest attempt at bridging the gap to 3D graphics is finally the one that gets the series over that particular hurdle. Not that we’re opposed to 2D sprites, nind you. The King of Fighters XIII was gorgeous and all, but as SNK has decided to go with polygons this time around, we have our fingers crossed and are hoping for the best!
The King of Fighters XIV is coming to the Sony PlayStation 4 on August 23, 2016 in North America, August 25, 2016 in Japan and August 26, 2016 in Europe.
