NBA 2K16
Well, I’m not even going to pretend that this inclusion is for me. Nor is it likely to fit the bill for many of our audience. But it is an immensely popular franchise, and it is right in time for the NBA Finals, so there is not much to complain about other than the limited lasting appeal of a yearly sports franchise title.
Gone Home: Console Edition
This is a critical darling of an indie game that many may have missed out on due to being on PC or because they would not normally play a game without any combat or action. This release gives a second look for people and is a great one to have for the service. It is a very short game and that may have put off some people that will end up picking it up for free and find out that they really love it.
Playstation 3 Free Games
Echochrome
This one is an oldie but a goodie. And one of the many examples of how many great art games have been a part of the Sony Playstation ecosystem over the years. To my mind, Sony is better off focusing on what makes the Sony community special instead of directly competing with Games with Gold on MSRP value.
Siren: Blood Curse (Episodes 1-12)
This just might be the best inclusion for the month. Unless you really can’t handle scary games, no shame if that’s you, you should be downloading this one. You get the full series and can play it all at once, and for free.
Playstation Vita Free Games
God of War: Chains of Olympus
More than likely you have played this one, unless you are new to the Sony family with this generation. But definitely pick this one up if you have a Vita. It works even better than it did on PSP.
Little Deviants
My PS Vita actually came with this game, and it was really not much more than a tech demo. So it’s not much to write home about. Frankly I’d rather play the NBA game. But this was still a solid month for releases and there is bound to be one or two lackluster. Not that I speak for everyone, regardless.
